LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse required for Texas.

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.

CPI Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 90 days of hire required.

6 (six) months previous experience in an acute care hospital setting or completion of a THR residency program required.

Previous experience with Prenatal and Infusion is preferred.

Work location: Texas Health Arlington Memorial 800 W. Randol Mill Road in Arlington TX 76012.

Work hours: Full Time Day Shift 40 hours per shift Monday to Friday no weekend requirements.

The professional LVN exhibits understanding of basic human needs as well as demonstrates recognition and understanding of patients affiliations.

What You Will Do

Plan of Care and Technical Skills:

Collaborates with team to facilitate hourly rounding and initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others

need for information.

Takes action to reduce/eliminate patient risks.

Collects data and reports significant findings to RN.

Safely administers medication in accordance with medication administration guidelines.

Uses nursing model to obtain adequate data to initiate implement and revise plan of care to meet

patient physician and family needs.

Individualizes care measures to reflect specific patient population. Performs technical procedures safely and proficiently.

Demonstrates critical thinking.

Adheres to national safety goals in care delivery.

Monitors patients.

Partnerships:

Works in partnership with peers other disciplines and unlicensed assistive personnel.

Actively participates in formal and informal teaching and evaluation to strengthen clinical competence of self and

team members.

Uses Unit Based Council structure.

Flexible with scheduling to help meet departmental/patient needs.

Adapts to changes in workload assignment to meet changing needs of the individual patient or the unit.
