OVERVIEW:
Established by Congress in 1974 the Legal Services Corporation (LSC) is the countrys single largest funder of civil legal aid for low-income Americans. LSC currentlyfunds independent legal aid offices nationwide. LSCs mission is to promote equal access to justice and provide grants for high-quality civil legal assistance to low-income Americans.
LSCs Office of Program Performance (OPP) is responsible for overseeing LSCs grant-making and monitoring processes to ensure grantees deliver high-quality legal services to eligible clients. OPP administers competitive grant programs and evaluates grantee performance through desk reviews onsite reviews and data-driven oversight. OPP also manages specialized grant programs like the Pro Bono Innovation Fund which encourages creative and impactful pro bono legal services models.
The internships are based in Washington DC and will require working from an office in DC in accordance with LSCs hybrid work model. The successful candidates must live in the DC metropolitan area for the duration of the internship.

The internship is expected to run frommid-January through May 2026 with interns working between 15 to 20 hours per week on a part-time basis.
