PURPOSE
The main purpose of the Business Solution Architect is to facilitate definition and planning of business through the use of structured analysis modelling and assessment methodologies. The Solution Architect creates clarity about the viability feasibility and dependencies of a given initiative identifies the merits and success criteria and creates the boundary within which project scope will be defined.
You will engage with the following stakeholders:
Internal management stakeholders
External partnership stakeholders
Business development teams
Business project teams
Your key responsibilities include:
Contribute through facilitating alignment to business strategies in all initiatives
Demonstrate innovative and pioneering thinking in area of expertise and translate this into business models blueprints and business cases
Deliver client or company specific projects in line with company standards and in agreement with line manager
Design analysis and modelling of business initiatives in service of organizational goals
Reviewing analysing and evaluating ideas projects and opportunities to develop new products new technologies and business models
Apply and utilize business modelling methods to ensure results-oriented deliverables in a way that can be recreated and used as a corporate knowledge resource available to project level
Initiatives as executive decision making
Creating business architectures and models demonstrating how products operations and systems interoperate within the organization
Conduct analysis to determine best path for solving business problems/opportunities that may include process improvement systems enhancement user training and/or software procurement
Preparing new business and new product ideas for evaluation and business case estimation
Broad-based organizational participation in initiative design and facilitation
Evaluate pre-project initiative impacts and escalate issues and risk appropriately
Collaborating across business segments to perform analysis and modelling
Working with technical and business teams to perform analysis and modelling
Determine and manage business architecture standards and principles ensure solution developed across the organisation are aligned to the architecture standards and principles leverage common
solutions and services and meet financial targets (cost and benefits)
Apply and utilize appropriate methods to ensure results oriented deliverables in a way that can be recreated and leveraged as intellectual capital
Evaluate and present information that will facilitate effective decision-making through written and oral communication materials that effectively summarize findings with recommendations
Continuous alignment between business and information technology
Functions as a liaison to Business and IT partners in order to gain a broad understanding of industry trends and innovations and their impact on technology
Work with the business to integrate capability planning and roadmaps into their strategic planning and project implementations
Collaborate with business leaders providing input and capability information as inputs to develop business case for initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE
BComm or BSc Informatics; Business Analysis Diploma; other degree with focus on statistics and data analytics
Microsoft Office Suite familiarity
Visio and related modelling tools
