Direct supervise and monitor the performance of uniformed security staff within the assigned area to ensure their performance standards in terms of f effectiveness and efficiency and in accordance with departmental policies and guidelines
Develop and execute security plans for mega events (such as Annual General Meeting Annual and Interim Results etc.) organised by the Corporation to safeguard people and assets from potential security risks
Oversee the security inspections for construction sites associated with new railway lines conducted by mobile patrol teams to ensure that contractors maintain security control measures that are commensurate with the risks envisaged
Liaise with stakeholders on all ongoing and ad hoc security support activities at railway premises and implements plans and programs to safeguard Corporations interests. Maintain strong and positive working relationship with stakeholders to facilitate efficient operation across all parties
Ensure readiness of staff in the response to emergencies major incidents and special operations Identify and propose appropriate training requirements for the team to maintain and improve the competence and performance of staff
Ensure sound financial management within the team including planning budgeting reporting and control to meet Departmental targets
Oversee the operations of the Staff Card Office to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Implement and review the safety management system with reference to the relevant requirements outlined in the Safety Manual for Corporate Functions
Holder of a university degree or relevant professional qualification e.g. Member of the Security Institute Certified Protection Professional Certified Member of International Professional Security Association (HK)
7 years of security-related working experience of which 5 years should be in people-management experience
Sound performance development and staff motivational skills in a complex situations
Knowledge of basic risk management concepts and principles criminal law and procedures
In-depth knowledge of security/fire practices and systems
