Position Summary:
The Rehabilitation Services Supervisor will communicate timely clearly and in a professional manner with staff patients patient family members physicians and other internal/external customers. The supervisor will demonstrate skills in listening conflict management system problem solving decision-making and process improvement. As a therapist supervisor will practice in compliance with professional standards and professional code of ethics.
The supervisor is responsible for assuring that the PNHS values of Head Heart Together are achieved through daily departmental operations. This includes but is not limited to direct patient care professional growth and development outcome/competency assessment compliance with regulatory standards ( JCAHO OSHA professional organizations and other regulatory agencies); and participating in process improvements to advance patient care outcomes and satisfaction.
The supervisor serves as a link between team members and upper-level management regarding system wide policies procedures and events. The supervisor is expected to provide direct patient care in their area of clinical expertise in accordance with determined departmental business need.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday with 6 weekends a year. 70% patient care 30% administration
Required Qualifications:
Education Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Graduate of an accredited school with a Bachelors Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in clinical profession
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
Licensed with the Minnesota Department of Health.
This position requires credentialing following the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) guidelines.
Clinical Specialists require national certification in specialty area by professional organization.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Proficient with communication and data processing equipment. Proficient in clinical apparatus related to area of expertise. Proficient in organization electronic medical record software.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Minimum of 2 years of administrative/management experience preferred
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
Recommend membership in related professional organization such as the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) the Minnesota Occupational Therapy Association (MOTA) or the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT).
