An independent school for girls in grades 6-12 guided by the teachings of the Catholic Church Montrose School was founded in 1979 and is located in the welcoming community of Medfield 17 miles southwest of Boston. Montrose School attracts a talented and growing student population from over 50 towns and communities. The students and their families as well as the faculty and staff are noted for their commitment to the schools mission educating young women who are called to greatness.

Montrose seeks an experienced teacher of history to join our professional learning community to teach beginning in August 2026. The ideal candidates for this position will possess exceptional intellectual curiosity and skill to lead students in investigating primary texts as well as experience with project-based learning. Teachers at Montrose model an inquiry-based classroom and are adept at the teaching and development of critical reading and analytical writing skills while working in a robust collegial liberal arts environment that appreciates the value of an all-girls education. We seek teachers who are passionate about their subjects and dedicated to guide students in strong academic habits and are committed to collaborating reflecting and growing in their teaching practice. Strong applicants must have a bachelors degree with at least three years teaching experience and a masters degree is preferred. Our teachers are mentors to individual students and club leaders.
