Description

We are seeking an experienced hands-on HR Manager to lead HR operations and business partnership across France Italy and Switzerland. Based in Toulouse and managing a small HR team you will serve as the primary HR point of contact for local business leaders drive operational excellence and ensure flawless execution of global HR programs at the local level.

This role demands a practitioner who thrives in a dual mandate: delivering rigorous day-to-day HR operations with particular depth in French labor law social relations and payroll governance while acting as a trusted strategic partner to site and functional leaders across a multi-country perimeter



Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

HR Business Partnership

  • Act as the dedicated HR Business Partner to site managers R&D leads and functional directors across France Italy and Swizerland providing proactive guidance on all people matters.
  • Challenge and support business leaders in organizational design workforce planning and talent decisions to meet both short-term operational needs and long-term growth ambitions.
  • Build trusted relationships with leadership teams influencing people strategy and driving a high-performance inclusive culture aligned with Honeywells values.
  • Translate corporate HR strategy into locally relevant actionable plans owning the implementation roadmap for your region while ensuring alignment with global directives.
  • Provide data-driven HR insights and reporting to regional and global HR leadership to inform business decisions.

People Management & Team Leadership

  • Lead coach and develop a small HR team setting clear objectives providing ongoing feedback and fostering a collaborative high-quality service culture.
  • Manage workload distribution across the team ensuring consistent and timely delivery of HR services across all three countries.
  • Serve as an escalation point and subject matter expert for your team on complex employee relations legal matters and business partner queries.

Operational HR Excellence

  • Oversee and continuously improve day-to-day HR operational delivery across the full employee lifecycle: recruitment coordination onboarding performance management learning & development compensation review cycles and offboarding.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll oversight in partnership with payroll providers and Finance with particular rigor applied to regional payroll complexities (conventions collectives primes temps de travail etc.).
  • Drive process consistency and quality across the three-country perimeter identifying opportunities to standardize and improve.
  • Champion the adoption of HR systems tools and digital processes ensuring data integrity and compliance with GDPR and local data protection requirements.

Labour Law Legal Compliance & Social Climate

  • Ensure full compliance with employment laws and the applicable collective bargaining agreements staying current on legislative and regulatory changes.
  • Manage all employee relations matters including disciplinary procedures grievances restructuring and terminations in close coordination with legal counsel where required.
  • Lead and manage social dialogue while drive the overall social agenda
  • Monitor and actively manage the social climate across sites proactively identifying risks and working with management to maintain constructive labor relations.

Talent & Organisational Development

  • Support succession planning talent review processes and development planning for key populations including engineers R&D specialists and site management.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to attract top aerospace and industrial talent actively contributing to employer branding
  • Champion employee engagement initiatives and support line managers in building motivating development-oriented team cultures.
  • Coordinate and deploy global learning programs locally identifying specific development needs within the industrial and R&D population.

HR Strategy Implementation

  • Translate Honeywells corporate HR strategy and global people priorities into a localised implementation plan for France Italy and Switzerland.
  • Own the local execution of global programs (e.g. annual performance cycle compensation planning engagement surveys inclusion and engagement initiatives) ensuring they are adapted to local context and legal requirements.
  • Provide regular progress updates and qualitative feedback to EMEA HR leadership flagging risks or adaptation needs early.
  • Act as a change agent supporting business transformations reorganizations and cultural change programs within the region.


Qualifications

Candidate Profile

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience with a significant portion in an industrial R&D-driven or technical manufacturing environment aerospace defense energy or automotive experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrable track record as an HR Business Partner supporting senior leaders and managing complex people agendas in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Proven experience managing or mentoring HR team members.
  • Solid hands-on experience across the full operational HR spectrum with particular depth in French labor law Works Council management collective agreements payroll oversight and disciplinary processes.
  • Experience operating in a multi-country or matrix HR structure is a strong advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional understanding of French employment law and social relations; working knowledge of Italian and/or Switzerland HR frameworks is advantageous.
  • Strong business acumen able to understand the operational and commercial context of decisions and credibly partner with technical and business leaders.
  • Highly organized rigorous and detail-oriented in managing compliance obligations processes and HR data.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust quickly at all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to balance strategic thinking with a hands-on problem-solving approach.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and HR reporting tools; experience with SAP SuccessFactors is a plus.

Languages

  • French: Native or full professional proficiency (essential).
  • English: Full professional proficiency (essential corporate language).
  • Italian or other European language: A meaningful advantage.

Education

  • Masters degree (Bac5) in Human Resources Labor Law Business Administration or a related field from a recognized institution.
