The Project
The New Dunedin Hospital project is the single largest hospital project ever undertaken in New Zealand. Spanning 71700m2 and constructed on the former Cadbury Chocolate Factory in the centre of the city the Inpatient Building will provide high-quality acute medical facilities in support of its role as a tertiary teaching hospital. Onsite services will include 424 beds including future expansion of 53 beds. A total of 24 theatres including a future capacity of 2 theatres imaging suites and radiology.
Your Opportunity
A unique opportunity exists for a Tier 1 Senior Project Engineer to develop their skills and progress their career on a landmark Healthcare Project. As a Senior Project Engineer (Structures) youll be responsible for developing robust methodologies maintaining quality controls and safely delivering the superstructure of the New Dunedin Hospital Project. The role is suitable for an engineer with major project experience in structural steel or structural concrete where you can leverage your experience into the complexities of erecting over 10000T of structural steel!
Our minimum requirements for this role are:
- A bachelors degree in a relevant engineering discipline from a recognised tertiary institution
- 5-10years relevant experience in the same field
Experience Skills and Behavioural Competencies required for this position:
- Managing self and team within discipline to deliver work between $10M and $50M
- Developing methodologies to ensure compliance with scope of works and technical criteria (within discipline)
- Demonstratingcommercial experience to include planning up to 6months ahead weekly reporting on progress against plan and cost reporting on risk and developing and implementing risk treatment plans
- Producing scopes of work for the procurement of subcontractor packages
- Developing of SHEQ process and procedures and managing others in conducting SHEQ process and procedures
