The IT Business Partner acts as the dedicated IT counterpart for one or more business domains (e.g. Trade B2B Finance HR) ensuring that IT services effectively support business processes and strategic priorities.

This role bridges the gap between business stakeholders and IT by combining functional domain knowledge with IT expertise to proactively shape demand advise on technology decisions and ensure that IT initiatives deliver meaningful business outcomes. The IT Business Partner secures strong alignment between business value and IT services oversees the delivery of technical changes and drives continuous improvement across the domain.

What youll do

Strategically

• Act as the primary IT (single point of) contact and trusted advisor for the assigned business domains.

• Translates Business (domain) strategy into IT requirements supporting the IT roadmap maintained by the Enterprise Architect.

• Align IT initiatives with business priorities and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.

• Overall responsible for customer satisfaction (functional) within the specific business domain.

Tactical

• Maintain functional knowledge of Business applications and dependencies and advise on application capabilities and integration options.

• Coordinates overall supplier resource management rolling forecast (optimal deployment of supplier within the agreed purchased human resources).

• Drive the agile delivery of the main suppliers optimizing the way of working for the IT change capability.

• Responsible for improving the quality of application development (f.e. functional technical performance/stability security (agile) process documentation UX and reliability in delivery)

• Support the service level manager with the assessment of supplier performance (for changes).

• Support the Product Owner with the measurement of business value delivered by IT solutions (value realization).

• Collect feedback from users and suggest enhancements for future releases (continuous improvement feedback).

Operational

• Provides input for the Service Catalogue for the applications within the assigned Business domains.

• Facilitate change management: manage complex technical change requests vendor relationships and ensure changes align with IT governance and security policies.

• Support business in communicating process changes and ensuring business readiness.

What were looking for

• Education: minimum MSc degree in Informatics or Business Administration.

• Strong track-record with business-IT alignment in a strategic tactical and operational context.

• Strong focus on value and customer satisfaction.

• Knowledge of IT frameworks (business alignment IT Governance agile Way of Working).

• Experience in the Energy (trading) business is a plus.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and able to apply them at various levels (excellent in English both written and spoken).
