About the Role
CCHA is a learning organisation dedicated to providing excellent customer service and maintaining high standards across our homes and commercial properties including community halls. The postholder will oversee our small market submarket rent and commercial portfolio ensuring it is well-managed compliant and positioned for growth. The ideal candidate should prioritise a customer-first approach and be adaptable to serving a diverse clientele including residential tenants leaseholders LCHO customers and commercial renters.
This role leads core areas of work:
As Commercial Manager you will deliver a broad range of services to a diverse customer base while ensuring our products continue to grow appropriately across new and existing schemes. You will act as the key contact for tenants and owners building strong trust-based relationships through professionalism courtesy and sound knowledge of their properties. You will oversee the effective management of leaseholders market-rate units LCHO properties rent collection voids statutory compliance maintenance tenant engagement and performance reporting across the commercial and community halls portfolio.
This role is central to maintaining strong operational controls safeguarding asset value and driving improvements in service delivery portfolio management and community outcomes.

About You
In this role youll be the central connector for our growing commercial submarket marketrent and LCHO portfolio. Youll sit within the Housing and Communities Directorate but your work will cut across the whole organisationpartnering with repairs asset management customer experience and development teams to make sure services are delivered right first time and reflect what customers genuinely need.
Youll use insight data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and turn them into practical coordinated changes that enhance performance. By building strong relationships both internally and externally youll help us respond confidently to a diverse and evolving customer base ensuring that every interaction reflects our caring landlord approach.
As a senior manager youll bring essential leadership to the directorate. Youll provide clear values-based guidance question current processes where necessary and foster a coordinated approach across teams. You will be responsible for delivering regular reports on performance finances and satisfaction to the Corporate Leadership Team the Board and the PACE Committee ensuring leadership has the insights required to make strategic decisions.
Youll also take the lead on specialist or high-risk projectssuch as new product development or portfolio expansionusing your expertise to coach colleagues strengthen culture and embed consistent standards. Your work will help shape how this area grows and how we deliver high-quality homes and services that customers truly value.
Ultimately youll be the person who pulls the pieces together: aligning teams improving services championing customers and helping CCHA deliver a confident well-managed and future-focused offer across a varied and expanding portfolio.
