JOB TITLE:
Upward Bound Summer Program Math Instructor
JOB PURPOSE:
Aid in delivery of an age-appropriate four-week Math curriculum taught to multiple grade levels that encompasses a range of participant ages and learning styles.
Dates of summer program (including training) are May 26th-July 3rd 2026
This is a temporary position from May 26th-July 3rd 2026. The total pay of $1800 is to be split as follows: May - $277 June - $1385 July - $138
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Work cooperatively with science instructors to teach math concepts needed for participants to successfully complete their summer science courses.
- Aid in supplementing Aleks program with active hands-on practice of math concepts.
- Must be available to teach Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30am-11:30am and attend study hall at least once per week Monday Wednesday and Thursday 3:30pm-5pm.
- Attend all weekly academic meetings as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Junior standing at the undergraduate level in Math or related field; 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
Successful criminal background check necessary for working with minors is required.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree
