Job Summary

General Summary:

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about supporting student health and learning through quality food service. Team members must demonstrate integrity accountability and a commitment to providing excellent service in a school environment.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
A role model who demonstrates respect for the job and the school community
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills with strong communication and customer service skills
Willingness to support team efforts and assist where needed. Physical ability to lift and carry heavy boxes up to 50 pounds

Essential Job Functions:

Ability to make decisions in compliance with State and USDA regulations
Familiarity with County Health Department regulations. ServSafe Certification (preferred or willingness to obtain)
Proficiency in food preparation service and cleanup duties
Ability to operate a computerized cash register handle money and make accurate change
Basic computer skills including Google Docs Google Sheets Excel and Word

Other Job Responsibilities:

Other duties as assigned by the Building Food Service Manager or Food Service Director

Terms of Employment:

As described in the Northview Public Schools Food Service contractual agreement.
Work Hours: 10:45 am - 1 pm Monday -Friday following the school calendar

Evaluation:

Annual evaluation performed by the Food Service Director using the evaluation rubric as identified in the Food Service contractual agreement.
