Director People & Culture
Are you a culture carrier do you love helping people reach their full potential do you build relationships quickly do you thrive on challenges In this role you will be the hotels culture champion promoting our values and behaviors that support our promise to our people.
What you will be doing:
- Exemplify and lead the Company Service and Brand Culture initiatives
- Act as the Strategic Business Partner and functional Subject Matter Expert to Senior Hotel Leadership
- Align and execute People & Culture activities to Employee Value Proposition and Strategic plan
- Oversee talent & culture initiatives acting as a liaison between corporate office and hotel
- Collaborate with corporate People & Culture function on key programs/initiatives
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day operation of the People & Culture Department
- Lead labor relations initiatives
- Promote positive employee relations overall employee experience and drive employee engagement through an environment that encourages open communication trust mutual respect and fun
Qualifications :
Your experience and skills include:
- 5 years experience in a senior People & Culture/Human Resources role (in both union and non-union settings)
- Passionate about promoting company values and creating programming that supports a positive workplace culture
- Collaborative team player with excellent influencing skills with the ability to build relationships easily amongst various stakeholder groups
- Solid understanding of Canadian employment laws including BC employment standards
- University/College degree in a related discipline or combination of education and experience
- Proven success in leading strategic initiatives that positively impact hotel KPIs
