Job Summary
Job Title: Chief Estimator
NOC: 22303 Construction Estimators
Salary: $00 per year (commensurate with experience)
Employment Type: Fulltime permanent Language: English Positions Available: 1
Job Duties
- Plan coordinate and direct all estimating functions for commercial and industrial construction projects
- Prepare detailed estimates quantity takeoffs cost summaries and preliminary schedules
- Analyze drawings specifications and tender documents to determine scope and requirements
- Lead subcontractor and vendor solicitation evaluation and selection
- Develop bid proposals and supporting documentation aligned with project objectives
- Participate in prebid meetings strategy sessions and client presentations
- Identify project risks and opportunities and communicate findings
- Mentor and support estimating team members to strengthen technical capability
- Support handoff of successful tenders to operations ensuring clarity and continuity
Qualifications :
- 10 years of progressive experience in commercial or institutional construction estimating including leadership responsibility
- 5 years as estimating leadership
- Experience preparing estimates for complex multimilliondollar projects
- Strong understanding of construction drawings specifications and costmodelling techniques
- Experience coordinating subcontractor and vendor pricing
- Proficiency with estimating software and digital takeoff tools
- Postsecondary education in construction engineering architecture or equivalent experience
Work Environment
- Officebased role with occasional site visits
- Fastpaced preconstruction and estimating environment
- Collaboration with project management operations and senior leadership teams
