As the Program Manager you will play a key leadership role in guiding and supporting Team Leaders and Therapeutic Support Workers to deliver safe effective and high-quality services to children young people and their families.

As the Program Manager you will be responsible for the operational oversight development and continuous improvement of services within the Hunter region.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the development implementation and ongoing review of policies procedures and operational practices.
  • Leading strategic planning program development and service growth initiatives.
  • Providing leadership guidance and ongoing supervision to Team Leaders and other direct reports.
  • Ensuring incidents complaints and risk matters are managed proactively and in line with organisational and legislative requirements.
  • Supporting the implementation of organisational culture initiatives and Strategic Workforce Plan priorities.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders external partners and the wider community.
  • Identifying opportunities for service improvement and growth and ensuring program strategies are effectively implemented.

About You

You will be an experienced leader within the Out of Home Care sector who is passionate about delivering high quality support services and driving positive outcomes for children and young people.

You will bring:

  • Extensive experience working within the Out of Home Care sector.
  • A strong understanding of child protection trauma-informed practice and the impacts of trauma on behaviour and development.
  • Relevant industry training such as Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) Trauma Training or Frontline Management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading supervising and supporting teams in complex service environments.
  • Experience in budget management and financial oversight.
  • The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues stakeholders participants and families.

Essential Criteria

  • Diploma or Degree qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience in the Disability or Community Services sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing policies procedures and operational practices across multiple service offerings.
  • Current Working With Children Check National Police Check First Aid Certificate and a valid NSW Drivers Licence
