Project Planner RTU Program

The opportunity

As a Project Planneryou will report to the Lead Planner over the line of the business and E&U Planning Manager and the Regional Electrical Director Water working across Water and Wastewater infrastructure projects across Brisbane. You will be responsible for preparing maintaining and monitoring schedules for the program and projects delivered by Downer.

This full-time permanent role with primary location based out of our office near the Brisbane airport on Qantas Drive. You will also be required to travel to site when required.

What youll do

• Work across the Bid and Delivery stages of multiple projects.
• Prepare resource and cost loaded detailed project delivery schedules for allocated projects/work packages using past construction knowledge and experience that accurately reflect the conditions of the contract design and specifications.
• Maintain and update the project schedule where applicable incorporating subcontract schedules to ensure appropriate execution of work package plans are completed as required.
• Ensure compliance with Downers Standards and requirements as set by Utilities Performance Commercial & Risk Team in terms of Schedule Quality and Change Management.
• Perform delay analysis as needed by the Contract and support with suitable narrative.
• Manage/ undertake review and analysis of sub-contractor schedules to confirm alignment with good scheduling practice and Downer standards and requirements.
• Assist in the development of project practices and procedures.
• Undertake reporting requirements of internal and external stakeholders.

What were looking for

• Tertiary qualification Degree or equivalent Engineering Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or Project Management preferred
• 5-10 years on-site trade specific experience
• Expertise in Civil Electrical and muti-discipline construction works and managing projects and program schedules.
• Certifications/Competence on Primavera P6 Scheduling tool Required
• A Project Management certification Desirable
• Oracle DB qualifications Desirable
• Risk Management Desirable
• Previous commercial experience planning and scheduling for small and large projects using Primavera P6 (essential) Microsoft Project and associated systems
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of CPM scheduling concepts and delay analysis techniques (essential)
• Advanced Excel Skills (essential)
• Effective Communicator - Must have high levels of verbal and written communications skills. (essential)
