The Opportunity
We are seeking Expressions of Interest from General Practitioners interested in providing on-site medical care to residents within Residential Aged Care Homes in Rutherford and surrounding areas.
This role offers a rewarding opportunity to practise relationship-based medicine within a supportive and well-structured model of care with a highly attractive daily rate of $2000 per day. As a GP with Access Aged Care you will be part of a coordinated multidisciplinary team including experienced nurses telehealth specialists and administrative staff all working together to deliver comprehensive patient-centred care in the aged care setting.
Our model is designed to reduce administrative burden giving you the freedom to focus on clinical care and meaningful patient interactions. You will enjoy professional autonomy a manageable caseload and the opportunity to see the direct and lasting impact of your care on residents their families and the broader care team.
Whether you are an experienced GP or newly Fellowed this role offers flexibility and clinical autonomy alongside the opportunity to become a trusted clinical presence within Residential Aged Care Homes providing consistent oversight elevating care standards and contributing to a multidisciplinary model that delivers measurable lasting impact for older Australians.
This opportunity may also suit GPs based in Newcastle or the Hunter Region with Rutherford located approximately 40 minutes from Newcastle.

Requirements
- Current AHPRA Specialist Registration as a General Practitioner.
- RACGP or ACRRM Fellowship required (or nearing completion).
- Availability of 1 day per week depending on your preference and availability.
- Comfortable with technology including system-based reporting and common clinical software.
- A personal laptop is required to perform the duties of this role.
