As a Support Worker in our Childrens Services team you will support children and young people to feel safe supported and included at home and in the community. Youll build positive relationships support daily routines and development and advocate for each childs rights voice and wellbeing.
What youll do:
- Support daily routines activities and personal care where required
- Provide safe traumainformed and personcentred support
- Implement behaviour support strategies and Positive Behaviour Support Plans
- Encourage independence skill development and community participation
- Work closely with families carers and professionals
- Complete clear documentation in line with safeguarding NDIS and legislative requirements
About you:
- Compassionate reliable and committed to quality support
- Passionate about working with children and young people
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willing to learn and follow bestpractice childsafe approaches
- Holds or is willing to obtain NDIS Worker Screening Check Working with Children Check and relevant probity checks
Qualifications:
- Certificate IV in Child Youth and Family Intervention or willingness to obtain (Victoria requirements apply)
