Position Summary
Providing expert end-to-end legal supportfor multiple internal functions providing comprehensive legal counsel and risk management. Primarily interfaces with the HR HQ Supply Chain and Finance departments and support on global and local legal projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Legal Advisory & Risk Management
oServe as the primary legal point of contact for all employment and labor-related inquiries.
oProvide timely consultation and pragmatic risk assessment on employee relations hiring termination restructuring and policy implementation.
oCo-work with HR key partners to draft review and update employment contracts policies and handbooks to ensure compliance with local labor laws.
2.Labor Dispute Resolution
oManage and support the full spectrum of labor dispute proceedings including arbitration and litigation.
oSupport to develop case strategy coordinate with external counsel and prepare necessary documentation.
oAdvise key function stakeholders on settlement negotiations and risk mitigation strategies.
3.Major Projects Support
oProvide integrated legal support for key company projects such as new construction (e.g. Chuan project) media buying campaigns preferred supplier selection and corporate equity adjustments.
oIdentify legal risks ensure regulatory compliance and draft/review critical project agreements.
4. Legal Training & Capability Building
oDevelop and deliver targeted legal training programs to business teams on essential topics including advertising compliance contract fundamentals and general legal & compliance awareness.
oTailor training content to different business units to enhance overall risk literacy.
oSupport to build compliance culture and compliance awareness.
5.Commercial Dispute Management
oHandle dispute resolution with commercial partners including clients and suppliers.
oAssess claims develop resolution strategies negotiate settlements and manage external litigation counsel when necessary.
6. Government & Regulatory Engagement
oSupport responses to external government inquiries inspections and investigations.
oCoordinate across internal functions to gather information prepare submissions and represent the companys legal position in interactions with authorities.
Qualifications & Competencies
Education & Bar Admission:Bachelors degree in Law (LL.B.) or equivalent; must be qualified to practice law in China.
Experience:Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant post-qualification experience preferably with a combination of law firm and in-house counsel background in a multinational corporation.
Expertise:Strong expertise in PRC labor/employment law and commercial dispute resolution. Experience in supporting major projects (corporate construction procurement) is highly advantageous.
Skills:
oExcellent business acumen and ability to provide practical risk-balanced legal advice.
oStrong communication negotiation and presentation skills.
oProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
oFluent in English and Mandarin (both written and spoken).
