POSITION: Learning Partner - Experiential Learning and Outdoor Education

Summary:
Under the direction of a System Principal the Learning Partner will support the system team in cultivating meaningful experiential and outdoor education opportunities across schools. This role will assist in fostering a culture of innovation engagement and connection to place by supporting schools in the design and implementation of authentic learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom and connect students to their communities environment and future pathways.
The Learning Partner will work collaboratively with administrators educators and system staff to build teacher capacity across the Upper Canada District School Board in the service of student achievement well-being self-regulation and engagement for all students.

A track record of using innovative approaches in order to build successful programs and pathways for students.
Ability to support innovation and ensur e a safe and supportive environment that will enhance student learning and well-being.
Ability to work as part of a team to plan for develop and implement professional learning experiences for educators across the UCDSB.
Responsibilities:
Support schools in the ir School Improvement Plan goals connected to Student Achievement Plan .
Support data collection analysis and programming opportunities for student success.
Implement and support Ministry of Education initiatives that drive the UCDSBs Directors Work Plan.
Work with other Learning Partners to co-plan facilitate and support system wide initiatives to increase student engagement achievement and well-being.
Work with other Learning Partners to co-plan facilitate and support learning for principals teachers and students.
Co-plan with classroom teachers with a focus on student engagement.
Assist teachers in implementing high impact classroom practices that directly impact student learning and engagement (differentiated instruction universal design for learning assessment and evaluation skills and competency development experiential learning opportunities social-emotional learning etc.).
Co-plan and co-organize learning opportunities for students (e.g. Experiential Learning Projects).
Assist with facilitating and coordinating supports for students (e g. Ambassador Program).
Other duties as assigned by the System Principal.
