Planning and delivering engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teaching performance composition and music theory
Supporting pupils in developing practical musical skills using instruments and voice
Encouraging creativity and confidence through group performance and collaboration
Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
Contributing to the development of the Music curriculum and resources
Supporting school concerts performances and extracurricular music activities
Maintaining music equipment and rehearsal spaces
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge in Music
Be confident teaching both practical and theoretical elements of the subject
Demonstrate enthusiasm for music education and pupil engagement
Possess strong classroom management and organisational skills
Be willing to contribute to the wider musical life of the school
