About the Role

The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day site management maintenance and health and safety compliance. You will work closely with the Premises Manager and the wider facilities team to ensure the school environment remains functional safe and welcoming.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs around the school site

  • Ensuring buildings and grounds are clean safe and secure

  • Monitoring heating lighting and other building systems

  • Supporting health and safety compliance including fire safety checks and risk assessments

  • Assisting with the setup of school events assemblies and activities

  • Liaising with contractors and service providers as required

  • Responding promptly to site issues and emergencies

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience in premises caretaking or facilities support ideally in a school environment

  • Demonstrate reliability initiative and strong organisational skills

  • Be confident using basic tools and equipment safely

  • Understand and implement health and safety procedures

  • Possess good communication and teamwork skills

  • Be proactive and able to work independently
