Job Summary

A successful and well-regarded secondary school in Nottingham is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Geography to join its supportive Humanities department. The Role

As Teacher of Geography you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the potential to contribute to A-Level teaching depending on experience. The curriculum is designed to develop students understanding of both physical and human geography while building analytical evaluative and data interpretation skills.

Students study a range of topics including:

  • Tectonic processes and natural hazards

  • Climate ecosystems and environmental change

  • Rivers coasts and landscapes

  • Urban development and globalisation

  • Population change and global development

Lessons are structured to help students think like geographersanalysing data evaluating case studies and developing evidence-based arguments.

You will work closely with colleagues in the Humanities department to plan lessons share resources and ensure that students experience a well-sequenced curriculum that supports long-term understanding.
