The school is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Data Manager to lead the management and development of the schools data systems.
This role is central to ensuring that student progress information is accurate accessible and used effectively to support teaching and learning. The successful candidate will oversee the schools management information systems produce reports for senior leaders and ensure that data processes remain efficient and reliable.
The position requires someone who is confident working with data able to interpret complex information and capable of communicating findings clearly to staff.
Manage and maintain the schools management information system (MIS)
Ensure student data records are accurate secure and up to date
Produce detailed data reports for senior leadership and department leaders
Analyse student progress data to support school improvement planning
Coordinate data collection points throughout the academic year
Develop systems to improve data tracking and reporting efficiency
Support teachers with accessing and understanding progress data
Monitor attendance assessment and performance data trends
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations
Assist with census returns and statutory reporting requirements
Provide training and guidance to staff on data systems where required
Work closely with senior leaders to support strategic decision-making
The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and an organised approach to managing complex information.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Experience working with data management systems
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail
Advanced knowledge of Excel or similar data tools
Experience using school MIS systems (such as SIMS or Arbor desirable)
Ability to interpret and present data clearly
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Confidence communicating technical information to colleagues
Commitment to maintaining accurate and reliable data systems
Previous experience within a school environment is beneficial but not essential for candidates with strong data management experience.
