Employment Type: Full-TimeAbout the OpportunityOur client a well-established Vancouver litigation law firm is seeking a Senior Legal Administrative Assistant to join its Class Action group.For over two decades the firm has built a strong reputation for advocacy client service and success in complex litigation matters. The team operates in a collaborative and progressive environment that emphasizes technology efficiency and high-quality legal support.This opportunity is ideal for an experienced litigation LAA who enjoys managing complex files coordinating documentation and litigation processes and working closely with lawyers and clients on impactful legal matters.Role OverviewThe Senior Legal Administrative Assistant will support the Class Action team by managing files through key litigation stages coordinating documentation and assisting with pleadings applications and trial preparation. The role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional who is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced litigation environment.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:- Managing file progression including collecting documentation and assisting with settlement processes
- Drafting filing and serving pleadings and application materials
- Assisting with Chambers applications and trial preparation
- Conducting legal research and fact investigation
- Acting as a point of contact for clients and gathering information regarding their claims
- Monitoring and diarizing limitation dates and litigation deadlines
- Maintaining organized digital and physical file systems
- Supporting lawyers with document preparation and case management
Qualifications & ExperienceThe ideal candidate will bring:- LAA Diploma or equivalent legal administrative training
- 35 years of litigation experience ideally in personal injury or complex litigation
- Strong organizational and document management skills
- Experience drafting and filing court documents
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word Excel Outlook and legal case management software
- Confidence working independently and exercising sound judgment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment
Compensation & Benefits- Salary: $65000 $75000 annually (depending on experience)
