Asset Management Operator (Onsite Japan)

Asset Management Operator manages the incoming and outgoing transmission of files over various proprietary and commercial electronic distribution systems. The Asset Management Operator is also responsible for creating final deliverable packages manipulating XML using compression software (TAR ZIP) and creating/verifying checksums.

Additionally the Asset Management Operator will be responsible for the ingesting and cataloging of digital assets.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct incoming and outgoing transmissions of content and supporting files using a variety of proprietary and commercial transmission methods. Examples: Aspera Faspex Aspera SCP Signiant FTP and SmartJog.

• Using existing knowledge of film/video concepts properly identify data and solutions for archiving and cataloging digital assets based on given requirements.

• Ingest digital and physical assets to Deluxes various inventory systems with asset metadata information.

• Create titles in our digital library and match orders.

• Create edit or package metadata and other file elements per unique vendor specifications.

• Evaluate the quality of and check for errors in digital video/audio assets.

• Apply collaborative creative technical and quality control skills to provide effective services in a client-driven deadline-oriented environment.

• Execution of defined SOPs as well as learning new toolsets methods etc.

• Is highly detail-oriented maintains low error-rate and is productive and efficient.

• Ensures work assignment status and disposition are timely and accurately recorded in operations systems.

• Must effectively analyze and communicate information to resolve issues and concerns as they arise.

• Able to walk through existing processes notes pain points and failure rates.

Qualifications

• Weekend availability is preferred

• Preferred 1-2 years of experience in a post-production environment

• Must possess an understanding of basic film/video concepts such as resolution frame rate NTSC PAL HDTV SD HD 5.1 audio

• Strong computer skills are required (Windows/Mac Excel Word web browser FTP) internet and server savvy.

• Must possess a high level of written verbal negotiation and analytical skills.

• Native/professional/advanced spoken & written proficiency in Korean and Japanese supplemented with English skills.

• Must be a self-motivator with the ability to make decisions independently

• Must be able to follow instructions juggle multiple priorities and solve problems in a busy production environment.

• Must be flexible to work extended hours and/or weekends to meet project deadlines
