Equitable is looking for a dynamicUnderwriting Operations Representative to join our team!This position is a Hybrid work position based out of our Charlotte NC office.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Meeting the turnaround times on RFP Inventory assignments
  • Processing requests from distribution partners and internal stakeholders and partnering with Underwriting to be sure the case is set up correctly
  • Continuing to learn product and process knowledge for self-development and future advancement
  • Identifying reasons for non-standard processing of RFPs
  • Creating quote cards and proposals for a portion of groups after the RFP intake process
  • Working with Underwriting to edit proposals
  • Releasing proposals for a portion of groups to sales executives
  • Working with AI to improve its accuracy and function by providing feedback and suggestions
  • Developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders


This position offers a hybrid work schedule with an onsite presence of 23 days per week combining flexibility with team collaboration.

The base salary range for this position is $42000 - $50000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills experience and geographical addition to base pay Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases spot bonuses and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

What You Will Bring

  • Basic Understanding of Document Management including using EXL Word SharePoint and other Microsoft Office platforms.
  • Basic Understanding of Effective Communication with internal partners including strong written skills.
  • Basic Understanding of managing multiple priorities including priorities with varying deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree
  • Preferred experience with Salesforce
  • Preferred experience with Group Employee Benefits (Life Disability Dental Vision Critical Illness Accident and Hospital Indemnity)

Skills

Data Gathering and Reporting:Knowledge of tools techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.

Document Management:Knowledge of document management; ability to categorize integrate update document and distribute business information in a secure effective way.

Effective Communications:Understanding of effective communication concepts tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Knowledge of Organization:Knowledge of the organizations vision structure culture philosophy operating principles values and code of ethics; ability to understand the value of aligning capabilities with business goals to support optimal performance.

Managing Multiple Priorities:Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives projects groups or activities making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

Project Administration:Knowledge of project administration best practices and ability to use organizational strategies practices and tools for administering projects.
