Field Systems: The Trimble Field Systems segment provides solutions to increase precision and productivity in construction tasks by empowering stakeholders to collect accurate information and manage conditions with cutting-edge technology.
What Makes This Role Great:
In this role you will be the vital conduit between our customers and our Christchurch-based development team translating real-world site challenges into the design of world-leading data collection software. You will have the autonomy to own your diary while making a tangible impact on the workflows of surveyors and engineers globally.
Key Exciting Responsibilities:
Translate high-level customer requirements into detailed user-centric specifications that drive software development.
Partner daily with developers to ensure the next generation of Trimble Access meets the practical needs of the field.
Spearhead component and end-to-end field testing to ensure the release of high-quality industry-leading products.
Influence how our technology is perceived by drafting release materials technical notes and product bulletins.
Act as the subject matter expert providing critical input on product issues and marketing materials to support our global users.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Background in large civil infrastructure mining or land surveying
Deep practical knowledge of what works on-site and the ability to articulate those needs to a technical team.
Comfortable learning to use new technologies - both software and hardware
Strong communication skills to effectively bridge the gap between field users and software developers.
A tertiary qualification in Surveying and related technical field.
Bonus Points For:
Experience working with GNSS receivers total stations or cloud-based geospatial software.
Familiarity with building SMART international standards or digital transformation trends in construction.

Location: Christchurch New Zealand
Travel Requirement: Minimal / As required for field testing
