Director of Operations
Summary Overview:
The Director of Operations is responsible for driving production efficiency safety and quality across Garsite and Progress portfolio including Aircraft Refueling Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Water Vaccuum and Refined Fuels Equipment. This role combines strategic and operational leadership managing the production and production support team implementing efficient production strategies and serving as a key liaison with employees clients partners vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure business objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans that expand the companys customer base and strengthen its position across Aircraft Refueling GSE and Progress Equipment markets.
Leadcoach and manage a team of employees setting objectives monitoring performance and ensuring correct staffing levels to efficiently meet monthly and annual production goals.
Help build and maintain strong long-term relationships with clients vendors and industry stakeholders.
Monitorand analyze production metrics revenue goals and industry trends to optimize team performance and inform executive leadership.
Collaborate with engineering purchasing sales after-sales support accounting and operations to effectively hit company goals.
Collaborate with our production and planning teams to develop forecasts and reports to support organizational planning and resource allocation.
Collaborate with accounting and inventory management to ensure optimal levels of inventory to cost effectively support production and after-sales support efforts.
Assist with client communication and support as needed to maintain high levels of satisfaction and trust.
Oversee facility cleanliness organization and plan for facility improvements as required.
Communicate and negotiate with the local union as required.
Support executive leadership in quarterly and annual planning providing insights to drive long-term organizational growth.
Ensure safety hazards incidents and operation risks are reported investigated and mitigated in accordance with company policies.
Facilitate training and development programs to strengthen operational leadership and frontline performance.
Address and resolve complex operational challenges and customer service issues.
Foster a culture of safety accountability teamwork and continuous improvement.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving customer service interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
- 18 years of age or older
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to read write speak and understand the English language including regulatory documentation
- Proven leadership experience in airport or aviation operations preferred
- Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and safety standards
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and email systems
- Ability to use electronic devices including tablets computers and operational systems
- Pass a background check and drug screen
- Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA TSA Port Authority U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal as applicable)
- Ability to work any day/shift including holidays within a 24/7 operation
