SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor will provide supervision of a team of union associates in the Assembly Value Stream in our climate-controlled West Chester PA facility. This leader will drive key metrics around Safety Quality Delivery and Cost for the team.
First shift hours are M-F 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Flexibility required as Supervisors may stay later as needed to support shift handoff to second shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and manage direct labor union associates in a manufacturing environment to follow all policies procedures and content agreed to in the union contract.
Hold associates accountable to the work rules policies and performance standards through active and fair discipline while also providing constructive feedback to the associates.
Work with Planners to assign daily work and productivity expectations to associates.
In conjunction with planners execute on daily weekly and monthly build plans while meeting or exceeding on-time delivery of high-quality parts.
Drive and manage training and cross-training for all union associates.
Work collectively with second shift supervisor to provide seamless shift transition and promote teamwork between shifts to solve problems.
Evaluate cell demand and determine if countermeasures (overtime staff re-deployment) will be required to meet customer request dates.
Perform Root Cause Counter Measures (RCCM) and monitor SQDIP boards at cell level for issues that prohibit meeting key performance indicators Safety Delivery Productivity.
Embrace the culture of continuous improvement.
Instill sense of urgency with team around meeting customer quality and delivery expectations.
Lead team in Lead efforts including 5S and visual management.
Lead structured problem-solving activities with union associates and cross-functional teams.
Lead safety engagement and enhancement.
Performance ISO and Ergonomic Audits as necessary.
Be the point of contact for the union associates and effectively address issues that arise.

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelors in an Engineering Supply Chain or other Business field of study -or- Associates Degree in Engineering with at least 3 years of full-time manufacturing work experience -or- at least 8 years of full-time manufacturing work experience in a supervisory/engineer/quality role.
Exposure to manufacturing environment required preferably in automotive aerospace or medical device industries.
Previous experience formally or informally leading hourly production associates.
Union experience preferred.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
Exposure to ISO 9000 and/or 14000 preferred.
User experience in Microsoft Access preferred.
