What You Will Do:

  • Provide technical assistance and support to the Control Centre Operations (CCO) for pipeline and terminal operations. These include pipeline hydraulics pumps and overpressure protection. This work is done under an engineers supervision.
  • Assist the CCO Engineering team in optimizing system outages collaboratively with all internal collaborators ensuring efficiency losses are minimized on a rolling 6-month cycle.
  • Engage in initiatives and projects within CCO to coordinate EIT development alongside the opportunities available.
  • Apply engineering theory and judgment in a variety of contexts and projects.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of engineers technologists and support resources to ensure objectives of scope cost quality and scheduling are met.
  • Communicate effectively and proactively with both internal and external customers and collaborators.
  • Address technical issues in a timely manner ensuring deliverables align with Enbridge policies procedures and standards.
  • Support external collaborators such as Pipeline Integrity and Operations in maintaining the safety and reliability of the pipeline system.

Who You Are:

  • Completion of an Engineering Degree related to Electrical Process Civil or Petroleum Engineering from a CEAB or ABET accredited University.
  • Registered or capable of registering with the professional engineering association or licensing board of the province/state of residence as an Engineer-In-Training.
  • 2-4 years of experience.
  • Behaves consistently with integrity and respect.
  • Learns from experience and quickly adapts to new tasks and situations.

Working Conditions:

  • Office work directly located inthe Control Center Operations room. Physical activity limited to office tasks.
  • Some infrequent travel to other Edmonton based work locations for collaboration with others. Risk exposure limited to driving safety. Travel to physical operating locations limited to developmental opportunities only under the supervision of operations staff.
