Cyber Assurance Engineering Specialist – IRAP Assessor

Downer Professional Services comprises of three business units our Technical Advisory and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer which partners with CASG and NSSG as a major service provider to Defence. Together we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for clients across Defence and National Security.

What Youll Do

This role offers a broad scope with key role responsibilities including:

• Provide expert advice to System Owners on the Assessment and Authorisation (A&A) process

• Conduct independent security assessments of Defence systems and products

• Review security documentation to ensure compliance with ISM DSPF and Defence security requirements

• Prepare Security Assessment Reports and Authorisation Briefs for acceptance by the Assessment Authority

• Identify security risks assess system security posture and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies
  

What Youll Bring

• Demonstrated experience conducting IRAP or Defence security assessments
• Strong knowledge of Australian Government cyber security frameworks (ISM DSPF A&A processes)
• Proven ability to produce clear wellstructured security reports and executive briefs
• Experience assessing system confidentiality integrity and availability in complex ICT environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to operate independently and impartially

Due to the nature of the work you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimumNegative Vetting 2or higher Security clearance as required by the some instances compliance withInternational Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
