Position: Draughtsman/Internal sales position
Industry: Steel Manufacturing
Area: Brackenfell Cape Town (successful candidate must already reside in Cpt not open to relocation candidates)
Salary: Around R19K CTC Per Month
Full time on site permanent
Role Introduction
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Draughtsman / Internal Sales professional to join a well-established company in the steel engineering industry. This role combines technical drawing expertise with customer-facing sales support making it ideal for someone who enjoys both the technical and operational side of the business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate CAD drawings assisting customers with quotations and supporting the internal sales process from order to delivery. This role requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills technical ability and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Working closely with customers production teams and internal staff the successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring efficient project coordination accurate drawings and excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Must have strong personality and great communication skills.
- Valid drivers licence
- Computer literate
- Competent with AutoCAD LT Inventor Solid Works
- Experience in Steel or light steel engineering industry a definite advantage
- Pay attention to detail
- Highly self-motivated
- Be active and enthusiastic
- Willing to work overtime to complete tasks
Tasks
- Generate drawings on CAD software
- Quote prices to customers
- Generate job cards delivery notes and invoices
- Organise transport for local deliveries in conjunction with other internal sales staff
- Monitor customer outstanding orders
Any experience from the steel industry and ability to bring in new clients / sales could push the salary on offer higher as well.
