Job Summary

Position SCM Director (Purchase and Sourcing)
Location: Cochin
Salary : As per industry standard

Requirements :
Qualification : B.E/ Mechanical Electronics/Mechatronics Engineering
Experience : 18 years of experience in Purchase and Sourcing in EMS/ Electro- Mechanical large manufacturing unit. (Connector/Cable Assembly background preferred).
Knowledge on ISO 9001 IATF 16949 ISO14001 RBA VDA 6.3 requirements

Summary:
The Director – Supply Chain Management (Purchase & Sourcing) is responsible for leading the overall procurement and sourcing strategy ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials equipment and services required for manufacturing and business operations.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1 . Procurement Strategy & Leadersh ip: Develop lead and execute purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives for the Cochin site.
2. Strategic Sourcing & Localization: Drive strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier localization programs to support cost optimization and supply chain resilience.
3. Supplier Development & Performance Management : Lead supplier development initiatives to ensure suppliers meet or exceed expectations on quality cost competitiveness and delivery performance.
4. Cost Management & Negotiation : Develop effective negotiation strategies to secure favorable pricing payment terms and contractual conditions.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering production planning and finance teams to identify sourcing needs and ensure alignment with operational requirements.
6 . Risk Management & Supply Continuity :Identify assess and mitigate supply chain risks related to suppliers materials availability and logistics.
7. Vendor Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with key suppliers and strategic partners.
8. Governance & Compliance :Ensure timely renewal and compliance of supplier contracts agreements and procurement policies.
