We have a new opportunity for a Data Catalogue Librarian to join our Data Platforms team to take responsibility for ensuring data iseasy to find understand and trustfor colleaguesacross KingfisherGroup. By accurately documenting and connecting data assets to clear business context this role enables confident reporting analytics and decisionmaking supporting a strong datadriven culture across the organisation.
This role will be based out of our Kingfisher Head Office in Paddington with an expectation of 12 days a month in the office.
Whats the job
- Curate and organise data assets into clear logical structures and business glossaries to support ease of discovery and understanding.
- Createmaintainand improve highquality metadata including definitionslineageand technical details within the data catalogue.
- Ensure consistent terminology and meaningful links between data assets businessprocessesand organisational units.
- Develop and deliver training materials that enable both business and technical users to confidently use the data catalogue.
- Provide ongoing user support and act as a subject matter expert for the data catalogue platform.
- Produce insight on catalogue usageadoptionand governance compliance to highlight value and opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with Data Champions and data owners to embed data governance policies and standards within the catalogue.
What youll bring
- Proven experience administeringstructuringand curating a data catalogue tool(specifically Collibra)in aDataAdministrator orLibrariantype role.
- Practical experience using AI to support data curation or cleansing activities.
- Strong understanding of data management principles including data qualitygovernanceand data protection best practice.
- Working knowledge of recognised data governance frameworks and standards such as DAMADMBOK COBIT ISO/IEC 27001 and GDPR.
- Clearaccuratewritten and verbal communication skills with the ability to support others through change and build trusted relationships across technical and business teams.
