The VP Strategy and Relationship Management is a senior executive responsible for the long-term strategic roadmap and high-level stakeholder management between GPN and CUP Data. This role acts as a key advisor to GPN leadership driving business transformation by ensuring data and strategic initiatives are central to business decisions in the China region.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Advisory: Recommend long-term strategic direction for China CUP and CUP Data to GPN leadership aligning regional goals with overarching corporate objectives.
Shareholder Relations: Maintain high-level relationships and continuous dialogue with China UnionPay (CUP) and other key shareholders to ensure mutual interests are met.
Board Leadership: Manage and facilitate board-level relationships between CUP Data and GPN leadership ensuring transparent communication and alignment.
Governance Oversight: Lead efforts to update and optimize internal corporate governance documents ensuring they align with international best practices and local regulations.
Executive Board Preparation: Oversee the preparation of board meetings and the development of high-impact meeting materials in collaboration with CUP Data teams.
Financial Stewardship: Direct the analysis and compilation of CUP Datas financial information for presentation to board directors and the GPN finance team.
Senior Client Advocacy: Support CUP Data in high-stakes client meetings to represent GPNs commitment and strategic value.
Qualifications
Experience: 10 years of experience leading technology-driven teams or strategic relationship functions ideally within a Tier 1 financial institution or global payments provider.
Leadership: Proven track record of managing multi-disciplined teams and influencing C-suite stakeholders.
Financial Literacy: Strong ability to analyze and articulate complex financial and business problems to provide actionable solutions.
Education: Bachelors degree required; Masters or MBA is highly preferred.
