This is an exciting opportunity to join the System Engineering team in Fire TV. Fire TV (FTV) is one of the worlds most popular streaming media player brands with a mission to reimagine TV and to bring the next generation experiences to your living room.
The System Engineering team helps by solving the hardest problems challenge the status quo to find more effective ways to build Fire TVs. We do this by raising the bar in terms of quality stability and performance and roll up our sleeves to secure the quality of new product initiatives.
The Senior Technical Program Manager is a key leader on the team who drives goals and coordinates development programs and projects. You will partner with our core Product Management owners leverage our senior technical ICs and build the mechanisms needed to drive success.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner with PMs on goals and priorities
- Manage the lifecycle of a complex cross-functional program with considerable impact
- Coordinate Weekly and Monthly mechanisms
- Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks
- Drive adoption and improvements using Artificial Intelligence
A day in the life
Daily tasks will include:
- Attending and driving weekly core meetings to track status and coordinate dependencies but also to keep external stakeholders updated.
- Working on forward looking documents
- Doing deep dives and audits into problems solutions and designs
- Meeting 1:1 with key stakeholders
- Supporting operational needs. Tackling and leading urgent customer facing problems and bottlenecks
- Driving escalations
About the team
The team mission and charter is anchored in delivering best in class experiences to our customers and at the same time to support the growth and scale of the Fire TV brand. To support these goals were building a new team of platform and system architects who can drive the embedded architecture tools and platform functionality. The group is part of the larger Fire TV experience team which shares similar goals.
- 7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5 years of technical product or program management experience
- 3 years of software development experience
- 5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
