Job Summary
As an Analyst you will utilize your superior analytical skills combined with credit and industry knowledge to make and support credit decisions for a portfolio of clients. You will collaborate across credit risk and the business teams to meet client credit requests while balancing the risk-return needs of the Firm. You will constantly monitor your portfolio to accurately assign risk ratings to clients and facilities while ensuring a robust culture of compliance is adhered to at all times.
Wholesale Credit Risk assesses permissions and manages credit and counterparty risks on an industry client geographic and transaction basis. Credit Risk is independent within Corporate Risk Management reporting to the firms Chief Risk Officer (CRO). Our practices are designed to preserve the independence and integrity of decision teams are generally organized by industry and work closely with coverage and product groups to support business needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Conductcredit analysis and helps a deal team seek approval for lending and trading related transactions including operating exposures individually or as part of a deal team
- Createwritten credit approval documents which include the spreading and presentation of historical financial statement information and the related financial analysis as well as projections of future cash flows for large corporate borrowers
- Develop a well-informed and forward-looking view of the business financial and competitive risks associated with a company and sector
- Manageand monitora portfolio of client credit exposures across industry classes on an ongoing basis
- Takeownership of client credit needs and projects and independently develops a credit opinion
- Reviewand assignrisk ratings and maintains updated credit research on their portfolio of clients
- Participate incredit due diligence process for clients including for capital markets transactions
