Job Summary
This position willprimarilysupervise train implement and liaisonwith personnel associated withthe schooldistrictsmobile panicalertsystem. This rolewill ensurecompliance with FloridaState Statutes related to Alyssas Alert.
Essential Functions
1. Lead and coordinate training sessions for district staff on panic alert badge procedures.
2. Review and analyze alert activations drills and response practices ensuring alignment with safety protocols.
3. Prepare system-use reports trend analyses and recommendations for district leadership.
4. Proactively visit schools to ensure optimal platform usage.
5. Partner and liaison with the selected vendor to address issues and areas of improvement.
6. Support compliance efforts including state requirements tied to district panic alert systems.
7. Collaborate with district IT to incorporate improvements into broader safety strategies.
8. Communicate with district staff on updates and campus-specific needs. Support campus leaders during and after emergency events to improve processes.
9. Participate in safety conferences (some travel required) and vendor training.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelorsdegreefrom an accredited college or universitypreferred.
Experience: Law enforcement school safety education and/or school technology preferred.
Certifications & Licenses: N/A
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
- Experience in law enforcement school safety school administration emergency management and/or educational technology preferably as a supervisor.
- Technical proficiency with safety or communication platforms or the ability to quickly learn the system architecture.
- Knowledge of Florida State Statutes and best practices in reference to school safety.
- Ability to travel throughout Duval County for site visits and emergency support.
- Strong communication customer-service and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a large district environment.
