At the Department of Climate Change Energy the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) our work protects what matters most people Country communities and the environment. Were now seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Safety Systems & Reporting Coordinator to play a critical role in strengthening how we manage report on and improve health safety and wellbeing across the department.
About the role
In this pivotal role youll manage and maintain DCCEEWs corporate Work Health and Safety (WHS) management and reporting systems ensuring they remain compliant effective and aligned to industry best practice.
Youll lead the development and maintenance of corporate WHS documentation including training and induction content work closely with internal partners and external vendors and drive continuous improvement in incident injury and reporting systems. Your work will directly contribute to safer workplaces and better wellbeing outcomes for our people across diverse roles locations and work environments.
Youll also analyse and interpret WHS data design intuitive dashboards and reports (including Power BI) and deliver clear accurate insights that support senior leaders to meet their WHS due diligence obligations and make informed decisions.
About You
Youre a confident agile and forward-thinking WHS professional with strong experience in safety systems reporting and continuous improvement. You bring demonstrated experience developing and maintaining WHS management systems producing executive-level reports and translating complex WHS requirements data and system information into clear practical and decision-ready insights.
You work comfortably across both governance and operational environments with strong judgement attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. Youre confident working autonomously while also being highly collaborative and able to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders to achieve positive health safety and wellbeing outcomes.
