Job Summary

5-6 Months Contract with a Local Authority

Summary
  • The Registered Manager for the Reablement and Independence Service will provide strategic and operational leadership for a dedicated team delivering high-quality short-term outcome-focused reablement support. This role is crucial in ensuring safe effective person-centred care that aids individuals in regaining independence confidence and control over their daily lives enabling them to live safely at home and reduce reliance on long-term services.
Responsibilities
  • Provide strong visible leadership for the Reablement and Independence Service fostering a positive supportive culture focused on high-quality outcomes.
  • Lead day-to-day operations ensuring services run safely effectively and in line with CQC regulations and local authority policies.
  • Maintain compliance with statutory and regulatory standards including safeguarding health and safety medication management and data protection.
  • Ensure safe staffing levels effective rota planning and appropriate deployment of resources across the service.
  • Promote a strengths-based person-centred approach that maximises independence and wellbeing.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within social care reablement domiciliary care rehabilitation or a regulated care environment.
  • Experience in leading supervising and developing staff teams in a care setting.
  • Experience working within CQC-regulated services including understanding inspections compliance and quality standards.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards if not already achieved).
  • Up-to-date training in safeguarding adults health and safety and care governance.
  • Mandatory CQC Registered Manager eligibility and suitability criteria.
Additional Information
  • Working hours: 37 hours per week Monday to Friday with on-call duties as required.
  • 3 days in the office.
  • Enhanced DBS required.
  • Bi-weekly payment schedule.
