Our division provides critical operational functions to ensure our customers can manage their accounts with us easily and securely. From day one our customer support leaders play a vital role in upholding the three customer support principles of customer focus process innovation and risk management. You will join and support our UK Deposits function in Bengaluru.
JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee a high-performing team to achieve business goals in customer service and maintain employee satisfaction by providing leadership communication coaching and professional development to direct reports and their teams
- Monitor all work queues and ensure these are managed within agreed service levels with daily weekly and monthly MI collated and shared as required with management.
- Lead and drive a collaborative culture within the team to support quality performance and development opportunities
- Provide hands-on assistance to team members while serving as an escalation point for the UK Deposits Delivery team
- Establish schedules for the team ensuring workflow and staffing requirements are met consistently through effective forecasting
- Train and coach team members provide direction and enforce policies and standards to help the staff achieve departmental goals and objectives
- Manage the individual performance of the team rewarding behaviors and/or performance when appropriate as well as addressing performance and behavioral issues as they arise
- Identify continuity support and ongoing succession opportunities for key areas in the UK Deposits team
- Work closely with Business Risk team to manage key controls and escalate any incidents/events without delay. Proactively identify any new issue or risk and work to ensure suitable controls are in place
- Recommend improvements in business processes and ensure optimal resource utilization
- Offer guidance to the management team in such areas as real-time operational performance ensuring that service level targets are achieved as set by the business
- Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve mutual goals and proactively resolve potential issues with escalation as appropriate
- Assist with interviewing and selecting team members as necessary and serve as a role model/mentor to the team and others
- Create executive level presentations on an ad hoc basis concisely and effectively communicating with visual representation of analysis and proposals for necessary enhancements
- Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in daily operations
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree
- Strategic vision with the ability to execute
- Demonstrated leadership presence and maturity
- Impeccable judgment and ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced dynamic setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Executive-level presentation skills
- Ability to handle high-level client interactions and/or escalations
- Strong interpersonal relationship-building and negotiating skills
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel Outlook PowerPoint
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to projects and deadlines
- Must be self-directed detail oriented critical thinker positive attitude driven able to work independently in a team-oriented and fast paced environment
Prior experience must include the following:
- Minimum of 5 years of banking or contact center operation experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years supervisory experienceand managing other leaders
