Job Summary
Intermediate District 287 is looking for aCommunity School Coordinator forWest Education Center in Minnetonka MN!
Intermediate District 287 is a west metro district for learners with unique needs. As an intermediate district we provide specialized services primarily setting IV special education to students from 12 member districts in the west metro.
What Makes Us Special:
- We are a trauma-informed district. We take into account past trauma and the resulting coping mechanisms when attempting to understand behaviors and best serve our students.
- There is a variety of support services in each school including School Social Workers Psychologists Counselors Behavior Intervention Specialists and Student Safety Coaches. All of whom are student-centered and focused on building relationships with each child.
- Small class sizes - typically 6-8 students per class.

Position Details:
- Location:WestEducation Center in Minnetonka MN
- This is a grant-funded position which is supported through at least June 30 2027.
Salary & Benefits:

- Minimum starting salary is $70000

Position Summary:
- Responsible for the implementation integration alignment and coordination of the community school strategy at the site level.
- Partner with the school administrator families students and the Site Based Leadership Team to assess the school communitys needs and assets
- Manage partnerships and co-create a learning environment that supports a thriving school community where students flourish.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Education Psychology Social Work Sociology Counseling or closely related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience coordinating and/or managing programs in an educational non-profit or human services setting;
- 3-5 years of experience in education or community-related role
OR
- A combination of relevant education and professional experience totaling at least 5 years.
- Preferred: Fluency in Spanish Hmong or Somali in addition to English.
