Job Summary
General Purpose:
The Human Resources Coordinator owns all of the data that enters the Human Resources department performing all required data entry updating team member files and ensuring 100% compliance with required documentation for new and existing teammates. The Human Resources Coordinator understands the necessity of complying with the labor laws at all levels and manages internal processes to ensure complete compliance.
Specific Responsibilities:
Answers general People questions from teammates.
Enters new hire information into HRIS and electronically files all documentation for the teammate and the personnel files.
Stays current with best practice HR policies and methods and labor laws at all levels.
Communicates with managers about new hire approvals and keeping employee documentation current.
Manages current job postings and updates on the Companys website; posts various positions to job boards and with community partner agencies.
Provides property information for the teammate communication monitors and acts as a backup for the maintenance and update of the monitors.
Recognizes teammate birthdays on a monthly basis and delivers birthday gift cards to managers to distribute to the teammates they manage.
On behalf of the property handles expressions of sentiment as appropriate in cases of births deaths etc. affecting teammates.
Completes and returns verifications of employment for teammates and responds to unemployment claims.
Supports and assists in various HR projects and initiatives.
Runs basic and standardized reports relating to headcount turnover etc.
Other duties as assigned by your supervisor or property manager.
Qualifications :
Qualifications
Previous Human Resources experience is required.
Strong administration skills.
Strong attention to detail is essential.
Must be able to work independently with little supervision under pressure and on short deadlines.
Effective communication skills are required; it is essential to communicate effectively with and to a variety of people from all areas of the property and departments.
Must demonstrate computer literacy usage of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
Must demonstrate an ability to learn and master various software office equipment and processes.
Education/Formal Training
Associates degree or equivalent education preferred.
Experience
- A minimum of two years of hotel human resources experience is strongly preferred.
Position is full-time onsite in St. Louis MO at $26 per hour
