PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Field Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the supervision of all cafeterias and Kitchen Personnel making sure TDA guidelines are being enforced
QUALIFICATIONS:
TDA certification requirements
High School Graduate or GED
Minimum of five years experience as an elementary or secondary manager under the National School Lunch Program
Knowledgeable of the TDA Child Nutrition Program Guidelines
Computer knowledge preferred
Lift 30 pounds continuously and occasionally up to 75 pounds required
Capable of working well with others
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Reviews all production records for accuracy.
Visit all cafeterias on a routine basis to supervise cafeteria managers and kitchen personnel insure that TDA guidelines are met.
Oversees the directions of the cafeteria managers in work scheduling food production inventory personnel and sanitation.
Assists in the evaluation of cafeteria managers and kitchen employees makes recommendations to the Child Nutrition Dietitian.
Reports complaints grievances and misconduct in the cafeterias to the Child Nutrition Dietitian and Director of Child Nutrition .
Works with cafeteria personnel to promote and market the Child Nutrition program.
Observe safety rules and regulations
Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
EQUIPMENT USE:
Personal computer printer and copier
Large and small kitchen equipment to include but not limited to: electric slicer mixer pressure steamer sharp cutting tools ovens dish washers and food utility carts
WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors;
Maintain emotional control under stress; frequent district travel; continual standing walking pushing pulling frequent stooping bending kneeling climbing (ladder) moderate to heavy lifting and carrying moderate exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures
