Ultrasound Technologist

Responsible for performing diagnostic sonographic examinations using high-frequency sound waves to image internal organs in the diagnosis of disease and will be responsible for the following duties.

• Must be dependable flexible have strong communication and interpersonal skills to explainprocedurestopatientsandbeabletoworkindependentlyoraspartofateam.
• Be willing to learn new exams/procedures as needed to be an integral part of the ultrasoundteamaccommodatingtheneedsofourpatientsandreferringphysicians.
• Performdiagnosticultrasound proceduresaccordingtoestablishedprotocols.
• Knowledgeofultrasoundequipmentandimaging techniques
• Abilitytooperateandadjustequipmentsettingstoobtainhigh-qualityimages.
• Prepareandpositionpatientsforimagingproceduresensuringcomfortandsafety.
• Analyzeimagesandcommunicatefindingstophysiciansforinterpretationandpatient diagnosis.
• Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality of all medical information.
• Mustbeknowledgeableofthefundamentals andcomfortablewiththeeverydayuseof PACS RIS systems as well as general computer skills required to complete daily tasks.
• CPR annual certification OSHA and HIPPA yearly training required.
• ResponsibleforregisteringinallareasofultrasoundperformedatRMIincluding ABD OB/GYN Breast and Vascular registries as well as staying current on any and all continuing education.
• Attendance at meetings and training sessions may be required. These sessions could occasionally be scheduled outside of your regular working hours to accommodate business needs and training opportunities. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Associatesdegree(A.A) orequivalentfromatwo-yearcollegeortechnicalschool
• Minimum of one (1) -three (3) years of experience in a clinical setting
  
  

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS

• Mustholdat leastone (1)registrywith theARDMS
• Mustcontinuetomaintaincontinuingeducationcreditsandregistryrequirementsin compliance with the ARDMS.
• Must be willing to register in all ARDMS registries required by RMI including ABD OB/GYN Breast and Vascular.A one (1) year time period is allotted to obtain any new registry.
