Job Summary

**Senior / Principal Nuclear Medicine Fusion Technologist Responsibilities:**

The role of a Senior or Principal Nuclear Medicine Fusion Technologist encompasses a range of advanced responsibilities including but not limited to:

- Demonstrating proficiency while taking a lead or coordinator role within the department.- Engaging actively in annual performance improvement initiatives and participating in Nuclear Medicine Quality Assurance and Radiation Safety meetings.

- Instructing and demonstrating competency in at least two advanced procedures while also executing these procedures autonomously.

- Contributing to the development maintenance enhancement and implementation of clinical protocols.- Participating in the development maintenance and implementation of research protocols.

**Principal Nuclear Medicine Technologist Qualifications:**

- Required: CTNM certification from NMTCB or ARRT (N).

- Required: California state license from the Department of Public Health Certified Technologist in Nuclear Medicine.

- Required: Post-primary certification in Computed Tomography (CT) from ARRT or NMTCB (CT).

- Required: BLS certification.

- Education: Graduate of a JRCNMT accredited Nuclear Medicine training program.

- Experience: Minimum of 7 years as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 3 years in CT.

- Flexibility: Must be adaptable to scheduling needs rotating locations and shifts as well as providing weekend and holiday coverage.

- Competency: Ability to perform all routine clinical PET/CT examinations and independently conduct at least three of the five specialty PET/CT exams which include PET/CT with Multiphase CT Pediatric Cardiac Neuro and Research.

- Teaching: Capability to mentor and instruct newer Nuclear Medicine Technologists in routine and specialty exams.

- Mentorship: Ability to provide guidance advice and direction to less experienced Technologists.

**Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist Qualifications:**

- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine training program.

- Flexibility: Must display adaptability in schedule with the ability to rotate locations and shifts and cover weekends and holidays.

- Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

- Competency: Must demonstrate the ability to instruct at least two specialty procedures within the first six months post-hire or promotion.

- Required: CTNM certification from NMTCB or ARRT (N).

- Required: California state license from the Department of Public Health Certified Technologist in Nuclear Medicine.

- Required: Post-primary certification in Computed Tomography (ARRT) or NMTCB.

- Required: BLS (CPR) certification.

- Skills and Experience:

- Required CTNM certification (NMTCB or ARRT (N)).

- Required California state license as a Certified Technologist in Nuclear Medicine.

- Required post-primary certification in ARRT Computed Tomography or NMTCB (CT).

- Graduate of a JRCNMT accredited Nuclear Medicine training program.

- Required BLS certification.

- Experience: 0-7 years as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist and 0-3 years experience in CT

.

For the Principal level proficiency in all routine clinical PET/CT exams and independent execution of at least three out of the five designated specialty exams is mandatory.
