About the Role
At Zoox we are building a full-stack autonomous mobility solution from the ground up. Within our Autonomy Software organization we are actively expanding our self-driving capabilities to new geofences pushing our vehicles into more complex and diverse real-world environments.
We are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer Co-Op to support this expansion effort. Working directly with our autonomy engineering teams you will gain hands-on experience developing testing and analyzing the software that powers our autonomous vehicles. If you are passionate about robotics self-driving systems and writing software that matters this is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact at one of the most ambitious companies in autonomous mobility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Software Development & Testing:Support development and testing efforts to improve driving performance across new geofences contributing directly to the reliability and safety of our AV stack.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:Assist in collecting analyzing and reporting on autonomous driving data to surface insights that drive engineering decisions.
- System Evaluation:Help analyze and test autonomy software identifying failure modes and supporting root cause investigations.
- Documentation:Contribute to clear accurate technical documentation to support team knowledge sharing and process consistency.
Qualifications:
- Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelors Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science Artificial Intelligence Software Engineering or a closely related field.
- Technical Chops:Proficiency in C with familiarity with software development processes and best practices.
- Analytical Mindset:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable conclusions.
- Collaborative Spirit:Comfortable working across teams and communicating technical findings clearly to peers and leads.
- Proactive Attitude:Self-motivated and eager to learn in a fast-paced high-impact engineering environment.
$30 per hour.
This is a contract position and employment for this position will be through a vendor contracted with Zoox. The hourly pay range is posted and you will be eligible for a benefits package as offered by the vendor.
