Our client a Karachi-based State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulated Electronic Money Institution (EMI) seeks to appoint an experienced professional for the following role:
Job Role
As a Finance Executive at our Electronic Money Institution (EMI) you will play a critical role in managing day-to-day financial operations supporting digital payments infrastructure and ensuring compliance with SBP regulations. This position offers exposure to a dynamic fintech environment with a focus on transaction-level financial accuracy treasury operations and regulatory reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and post daily accounting transactions related to wallet top-ups merchant payments card settlements and customer refunds to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support the preparation and submission of periodic reports required under SBPs EMI regulatory framework including reporting of settlement accounts reserves and financial statements.
- Monitor and reconcile bank accounts daily ensuring alignment with internal ledgers and payment gateway reports. Assist in treasury activities including cash forecasting and fund management across settlement and operational accounts.
- Work closely with product compliance and operations teams to align financial processes with platform-level transaction flows and business requirements.
- Utilize SAP or similar ERP systems to process journal entries maintain the general ledger and generate financial reports for decision-making and audit readiness.
- Prepare audit schedules respond to external and internal audit queries and ensure proper documentation of financial records and processes in line with compliance requirements.
Education
- Minimum 16 years of education preferably Masters from a renowned and HEC recognized university or institution/equivalent foreign degree holder institution preferably in Commerce Finance Accounting or a related field.
- ACCA / CA (Finalist or Part Qualified) with sound accounting fundamentals.
Experience
- Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience preferably in a large national/multinational organization with at least 1-2 years of related functional experience in a similar role at an equivalent position.
- Experience in banking fintech or financial institutions
Key Requirements
- Good understanding of SBP regulations and related frameworks.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (SAP experience preferred).
- Excellent coordination communication and follow-up skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong sense of accountability and compliance.
Age
- The candidate should preferably be not more than 33 years of age as of last date of submission of application.
