Test Strategist / Test Lead

Enterprise Applications Travel Technology

Manage and mentor a team of 5 QA engineers (Automation Functional) supporting enterprise applications. Define test strategy ensure high automation coverage improve release quality and drive continuous improvement across UI API and integration layers. Travel Management Company (TMC) or Travel Technology background highly desirable.

What Youll Do

Test Strategy & Planning

• Define overall test strategy across functional UI automation API automation regression and integration testingDevelop release-level test plans and quality gates
• Define entry/exit criteria and automation roadmapEnsure alignment with Agile/Scrum methodology

Team Leadership (5-Member QA Team)

• Manage and mentor 5 QA engineersAllocate tasks across automation and functional testingReview test cases automation scripts and defect reports
• Conduct performance reviews and provide technical guidanceDrive skill development in automation and domain expertise

Automation Governance

• Oversee Selenium automation framework healthImprove automation coverage and reduce manual regression
• Ensure REST API automation coverageIntegrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines. Reduce flaky tests and improve test stability

Functional & Domain Oversight

• Ensure complete test coverage for complex workflows and integration flows. Support SIT UAT and production validation
• Maintain strong requirement-to-test traceability (RTM)

Defect & Risk Management

• Lead defect triage defect trends and identify systemic issues
• Ensure minimal production defect leakageDefine risk mitigation strategies for high-impact releases

Stakeholder Communication

• Act as primary QA point of contact for Product BA and Engineering teams. Provide quality metrics and dashboard reporting
• Present automation progress and release readiness. Collaborate with DevOps for CI/CD optimization

TMC / Travel Domain Advantage

• Experience in Travel Management Company (TMC) environments. Understanding of booking lifecycle platforms and mid-office/back-office systems
• Knowledge of ticketing exchanges refunds workflows. Experience with reconciliation and financial with GDS integrations (Amadeus Sabre Travelport)

What Were Looking For

Automation & Technical

• Strong knowledge of Selenium WebDriver. REST API automation experience (REST Assured preferred)
• Framework design experience. CI/CD integration (Jenkins / Azure DevOps). SQL for backend with JIRA & Confluence

Leadership & Soft Skills

• 24 years experience leading QA teams. Strong planning and coordination ability
• Excellent stakeholder communication. Ability to manage parallel identification and mitigation mindset

Experience Requirements

• 812 years total QA experience. 4 years of hands-on automation experience
• 2 years leading or mentoring QA teams. Experience in enterprise or product-based environments. TMC / Travel domain experience preferred
• Willing to work 2nd shifts (3:00 PM12:00 AM IST) and occasional weekends. Willing to work from Bangalore office minimum 3 days/week
